My Bio
I'm a 48 year old, politically radical, socially aware, conversational, Black and Black conscious, pagan, intersectional feminist rogue theoretician/writer/artist with anarchist leanings.

I'm pro-choice, pro-sex worker rights, pro-homeless people's rights and anti imperialist wars of corporate capitalist conquest. I'm all for refugees and other immigrants (documented or no) leaving their countries that western, global north countries have historically gutted of resources and/or destroyed and/or turned into war zones and moving in with those who invaded, bombed and destroyed their homes.

I'm university educated to the tune of one bachelor. Visual Arts. I'm fond of letting folx know that the bulk of what I have learned in my life that I have found useful happened once I got away from the academy and started absorbing the materials I encountered outside its knowledge hoarding, corporate, elitist structures. I am not affiliated with the academy or with any of its way overrated and over-priced universities.

To quote a meme by James V Joyce, a non binary Queer Alien. poet and artist learning to decolonise through illustration and voice work, whose fb page I recently came across:
Queer means anti colonial
Queer means disability inclusive
Queer means accessible to working class
Queer means means trans inclusive
Queer means Indigenous resistance
Queer means anti prisons
Queer means intergenerational
Queer means body positivity
Queer means acknowledging antiBackness

With this as context, Queer is definitely me. This is not so much a declaration of my sexuality, although in the past almost 30 years I've been out as a bisexual, as a lesbian and as a dyke before settling quite comfortably into queer.

Queer is a question mark, an anomaly, a manifesto. It is a way of rebelliously embodying this flesh while engaging with the dominant culture, radically deconstructing its social norms, systems and moralities and thinking about the kind of creative, social, sexual and political animal I'd like to be.

A non-binary, androgynous afab who doesn't look "like a baby-faced boy" (definitely write me if you know the origin of that snippit and would like to discuss the early articulation/formation of what would become white dominated queer and trans aesthetics), I'm often misread and misgendered as femme and cisgender woman even by folx who know better than to make those kinds of assumptions. In terms of how I understand the history of Black Africans during the Middle Passage and what was done to us, I prefer to use X as my gender and X based pronouns. If you know of Malcolm X then you might understand why.

I'm particularly interested in connecting with intersectional feminist artists, anarchist DIY folx, queer cultural producers, basically any creative types who see their work and the world through a politically left lens.
